Forecast for April 2010 (All times EST)
by Global Psychics Psychic
Astrologer Phil Reckard
Last month's forecast promised glimpses into the future, specifically for the potentials of this Summer's mega-historic main event, the so-called Cardinal Cross. Changing gears slightly, the planets of April urge us to carefully review the past because if we didn't learn those lessons we'll be doomed to repeat them, and the upcoming Mercury retrograde cycle may well be the least of our concerns.
Right off the bat, April 1st (April Fool's Day - a major clue here) offers us a challenging planetary configuration composed of Mercury and Venus (on the Taurus/Aries cusp), forming beneficial sextiles to Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius, with all four pointing a Yod - the Finger of God - of inconjunct aspects straight at a retrograde Saturn in Libra. Father Time Kronos (AKA the Good Professor Saturn) throws it right back at us, asking us in no uncertain terms if we've been taking responsibility (Saturn) for valuing our intellects and knowledge (Venus/Mercury) regarding spiritual healing (Neptune/Chiron).
Simple enough (?), but Saturn will be asking this same type of question on far more profound and life-sustaining/threatening levels throughout this Summer, so the Universal imperative will be for us to answer in the affirmative - in any way we can - right here and right now.
On esoteric levels, April Fool's Day reminds us of every culture's Hero mythology, which necessarily begins with the Fool's journey into the daunting unknown. With determined resolve toward self-mastery, the Fool quickly realizes that the more we know, the more we don't know what we know, and that this sense of confusion is in fact a state of Universal grace. This grace is a portal opening to true wisdom by never giving up on the search for knowledge - the eternal questioning process - a cycle of darkness and ultimate wonderment that can and should never be under-estimated.
The love of knowledge and openness to new ideas is never more invaluable than during a Mercury retrograde cycle, this month beginning on the 18th and occurring entirely within stubborn Taurus. Because Taurus (and it's rulers the second house and Venus) involves issues surrounding personal possessions and the things we value, the usual warnings will go out to sign no contracts and be careful with our money. But this Mercury retrograde cycle can also remind us of the only thing we truly own - the birthright of our free will - the will of our individual selves that can tap into the will of the Universe.
